Python OS Pre-Release - 4.0.0-b1

This is a project for pre-release versions of Python OS.

These are versions of Python OS that are functional, but not stable. Not all features may work on all operating systems, and some might not work at all. Please help development by finding bugs and e-mailing them to with the version, Python version, Pygame version, application and operating system the error occurred on. Please also include a detailed description, and if possible, Python error.


The first beta of Python OS 4.0.0. Log in as: username: root password: pythonos Python OS 4 supports installing and uninstalling applications, has an advanced GUI, and a space saving menu. After logging in: type "startg" to launch the GUI. In the GUI, activate the menu by swiping the mouse to the right side. Feel free to test all the applications, all of them should work. More documentation will come in the second beta.

    How is this an Operating System? An operating system is a collection of software that manages computer hardware resources and provides common services for computer programs. This just appears to be something that mimics the display of what an OS would appear to be doing.

    I get an "Inconsistent use of spaces and tabs" indentation error when I try to run this.
