Description

Asteroids Infinity is based off of and quite like the classic arcade game, but has much more! Features: Nifty elastic viewpoint! (viewpoint is loosely attached to the ship) Upholds Newtons 1st law! Rejects (or hides) the Aether! No absolute reference frame! Highscores! Configurable controls!

Changes

Added a title to the main menu - Made flying saucers randomly appear in the menu - Fixed a bug with the pause - Fixed a bug in the frame rate manager

The saucers actually crash more than I'd like. I need to figure out a good way to make them avoid asteroids to some extent so they're a bit more of a threat.

None, right now. It seems to work fine.

I like how the UFO can crash into asteroids, leads to some funny situations.

What error message does it give when it crashes? What version of python and pygame do you have?

I have never had a linux system freeze until now...

Otherwise it looks like a great game, keep at it.

Interesting concept, doesn't work quite well though. I don't feel like I'm moving when playing. (Yes I've pressed up and down :P). Add some stars or something in the background that moves, so you get the feeling of movement. Otherwise, looks great! Love the particles and 'splosions.
