Zeta

An old school platformer in the style of VVVVVV made for pyweek 13.

David Jones
(xer)

You're trapped in a rather dangerous spacecraft...all by yourself. All you know is that there are some pretty exciting coins spread across the place, and you want them.

Using little towers scattered across the craft you can transform your form into either a tall walking robot or a smaller, flying one. Both have their benefits and you must use both in order to win the game! See if you can do it in no deaths, I challenge you ;)

If you need help knowing where to go, we have some maps here:

Map: here
Rooms: here

Code and some art by me, art and music by my brother, most levels by my other brother.

We can run the zeta.py with python 3.x but not the map editor...

It was written for python 2.7, so it's probably some of the command line options. The map editor requires code modification to use anyway so if I update it I'll probably remove that.

This is a really cool game! Can I use your engine as part of a game I'm making?

    It's a deadly game...
And the "retro" graphics and sounds are also quite enjoyable.
