gradients in any dirction, line-, circular- or rectangular-shaped. Each color can have its own function for non linear gradients and maximal control of the gradient characteristic. All this in a easy to use function.
There is even amore powerfull function, actually a highfiled drawer. The pattern in the small rectangular are in the screenshot has been generated with it.

Wow. Excellent work. Very fast. Nice demo (a numpy update for would be super). Not only can it add bling, it has GFX potential. Definitely bookmarking this.

I don't know about anyone else, but the demo is stunningly fast!

Don't worry, I've tried it.
I haven't used it for anything special, but I can think of many situations where it could be used. I just haven't encountered any of them yet.
Also, it's in Python code and is too slow to do any real-time gradients. I tried psyco but it didn't work in the demo.
It's a great module anyway and I like it.
