DEPENDENCIES:

You might need to install some of these before running the game:

Python: http://www.python.org/
PyGame: http://www.pygame.org/
Twisted http://twistedmatrix.com/

RUNNING THE GAME:

On Windows or Mac OS X, locate the "run_game.pyw" file and double-click it.

Othewise open a terminal / console and "cd" to the game directory and run:

python run_game.py

CONNECTING TO THE SERVER:

If the main server is up you can use run_game.py

But if you cannot connect and you only get a blank screen, don't worry because you can run the server right here

Run the server 1st located using run_local_server.py

Then run the local client with run_local_game.py

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME:

Use C to toggle stats and I to toggle the inventory

Move around with the arrow keys and click on enemys to fight them

To win just make it to the top floor of the pyramid

John you get all dependencies? ie Twisted http://twistedmatrix.com/? if so can you show more of the trace back? it looks like it could not find it. The thing was developed on windows and linux at the same time. Later was tried on mac. And sence server is not longer up run "run_local_server.py" 1st would help too

I doesn't seem to work on latest Mac OSX. Starting run_pygame.pyw does open and close it immediately. Starting run_pygame.py shows an error: File "run_local_game.py", line 17, in '?' from main import Game... ... line 29, import network... line 1 from twisted.internet import protocol Please dont think if it runs on Windows it also must run on Mac (or Linux).
