Nice job! I'm learning pygame and this game is a very good example. I'd got an error when i run Pykanoid-0.8.6 (The game crashed) $ python Pykanoid.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "Pykanoid.py", line 1592, in <module> main=MainScreen(screen) File "Pykanoid.py", line 910, in __init__ self.start=util.loadText('New Game', 16, (255,255,255), 'engex') File "/home/tata/Pykanoid/util.py", line 118, in loadText return ffont.render(text, 0, color) pygame.error: SDL_ttf render failed This is fixed with: Edit the file util.py. In line 118, change, this: return ffont.render(text, 0, color) to that: return ffont.render(text, 1, color) I ignore what is the problem, i only apply a similar solution of this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/edgy/+source/pydance/+bug/67427 Anyway - thanks for a cool game. Great job. Graphics and sound are great. A very professional looking game. I like the simple way I can return to my last level. The game play is great and compares well to the original :-) I think you need slightly more randomization/drift in your bouncing. I keep getting stuck on level 12 going around and around in the same bounce pattern. Or am I missing something? Anyway - thanks for a cool game. It's a lot of fun!

Awesome!!!! This is the best Arkanoid game on the site! I found a few glitches but nothing serious. Graphics are very cool B-) Sound is too! Nice job!

COMMENTS: Sound effects are really cool! Nice intro too. SUGGESTIONS: Maybe you could have a bar on the bottom that describes powerups as you get them. BUGS: 1)When the ball's coming right and I'm moving right, the ball is reflected left. Is this supposed to happen? 2)When I lose a life via powerup, the new life amount is written on top of the old one, having both on the screen. Kinda hard to explain... if - is written on top of \|, I see a +. Maybe you're not clearing a rectangle around the old lives first? 3) Not really a bug... but you spelled "lives" wrong. :P Overall, a pretty fun game.
