A horizontal shooter.


- 1 new main level, lvl.1 (the old lvl.1 is now lvl.2)
- 1 new 'endless' level, endless.1 (the old endless.1 is now endless.2)
- Multiplier now pauses between waves. This allows whole levels to be chained. Multiplier maxes out at 8x.
- Beam now changes colour when used at close range. Using the beam at close range causes more damage and pauses the multiplier.
- Period of invincibility after death increased.
- Adjusted speeds of certain blue bullet patterns in lvl.2 to make them (slightly) easier to avoid.
- Increased default size of mixer buffer and added option in config file.
- Added sound toggle in options menu.

Wow, this is a really impressive piece of work! It shows what you can do with Python when it comes to making a genuinely nice, fast-paced game to really qualify for the shmup genre.

Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see what future levels will be like!

Also, don'tcha just hate it when you nick a bullet with like the very corner pixel of your hitbox? XD I've spent too much time grazing with Touhou's circular hitboxes, I can tell.

The coder of this game really wants to do great indie shmup games as Kenta Cho did - and this is great, specially for Python and SDL/Pygame...

Wicked shooter ! Great sound and graphic style. It looks inspired by Ikaruga (which is a good thing, since it's also awesome), just without the polarity switching and a bit less frantic. The little Commmander who pops up is a nice touch too. I'd like a few more heavy swarms ... the blue bullet-hell is fine with me, adds a little challenge.

VERY nice game ^_^
The mix of sound and graphics is awesome, and gives it its own (or rather your) style, not 2 mention orange is my favorite colour :P
why people are moaning about the window size I dont know, READ THE README.TXT! you can make it full screen using F10...
Also please make it more hectic (perhaps in later levels) manic blasters/shoot-em-ups are the way forward ^_^

It's only a level, but I found this one of the most interesting open project here... very simple to control, perfect in collision, funny graphics... Keep working...

Only a thing... the windows is very little... I use a 1920x1200!!!

Excellent! Reminds me of Sanxion on the Commodore 64. This game is also too difficult for me, especially the part where you fly through the obstacles. However I really like the style and presentation. Very slick. One problem, the music was full of static on my Windows laptop. Apparently this is a bug with SDL that affects some Windows systems. (I had the same problem with Natto-Cat, and had to increase the sound mixer buffer.)

Really nice graphics and great scrolling! A bit too hard for me, though: the blue projectiles seem to be extremely difficult to avoid and they always destroy the player. Nicely presented, though.
