Description

Lunaroid is an open world platformer shooter made in a 22 hour period as a PyWeek warmup - we kid you not. Features a large open world with Metroid-type gameplay, a boss, music, sound effects, multiple enemies, powerups, and a deeply puzzling maze. We hope you enjoy it!

I implemented a high-jump boot item that is fully functional into this game. If you would like me to send you a demo comment here and I'll check back sometime. I really loved this implementation of metroid style gameplay. I'll even make a nice custom map for you to play since that's where I think I excel in most (map making).

I haven't tried it yet, but I appreciate the source code download. What I'm going to do is use it to learn myself how to create a game sort of like this without spending half my life getting nowhere with a bunch of Google searches that come up with nothing.

Amusing! A nice little diversion. I also liked the use of a PNG to store the world map. Not bad for a week's worth of work. :)
