Description

For now a few applications are available for displaying images, listing to various audiofiles and your CD's, playing movies etc. Just take a look at the screenshots to get a closer view.

Changes

Movie Player bug fixed (when finished playing a movie nothing happened until you press 'B'). New widget added called vkeyboard. It's a virtual on screen keyboard. Pressing 'A+B+X+Y' simultaneously will quit playing roms with dgen and zsnes. Several minor changes.

I'm also trying to run this on Windows with the same errors, crashing on directional input. I updated the paths in mine already before seeing these comments. If you just put relative locations to the program directory it will work! I just had to find and replace "/opt/joywm/" with null on a few files. Of course I am using Python 2.5.11! I will keep testing wtih keyboard input I suppose... Also, why is my CPU at 100% python.exe ??? Is this normal for PyGame?

Sorry fpr the hardcoded pathes but actually I see now way to change them... Actually I thought nobody ever would try it - and never a windows user (my fault). I thought about the keys but that means extra work for. Not much but it's work and work needs time. Have you tried to calibrate your joystick first?

harcoded absolute paths are very unfriendly. To run I created a 'opt' dir (at root level of drive), unpacked to this directory. Now it runs. (winXP sp2, python 2.4.3 pygame 1.7.1) Smooth animation! Navigation could be more intuitive, perhaps. for KBD navigation, a standart arrows plus 'ESC' and 'Enter' would be nice. Joystick crashes when using axis keys: Joystick 0: USB Vibration Joystick Traceback (most recent call last): File "startup.py", line 9, in ? execfile(menu) File "/opt/joywm/bin/menu.py", line 39, in ? key.getkey() File "/opt/joywm/lib/guiinput.py", line 79, in getkey if c.data.has_key(ask) == True: AttributeError: config instance has no attribute 'data' App is not responding to pygame event QUIT, at least you cant close the app clicking the window 'close' button.
