You play Maddeline, a young girl on her sweet sixteen, who will walk the whole town looking for the perfect outfit. You will need to avoid getting you look ruined by the dirty dogs and the bad language of the Viking man.

Watch out not to get late. Avoid playing with the butterflies.

The game has some very nice graphics and music. It was made after a board game with the same name.

The whole game was built using Open Source tools:

The art was made with Inkscape, Gimp, Blender and Imagemagick.
Image compression
All images were optimized with optipng, which is a great tool for lossless compression.
The code is all Python and Pygame!
Version Control
Development used with Bazaar Version Control System.
Data is saved within SQLite databases
The music are also free music, mostly from
Plans for next release (1.1) include:
  • fixing bugs (butterflies not animating, crashes under Windows 7 and 8 when username include special chars)
  • language menu (English, Spanish, Portuguese and maybe other language translated within launchpad)
  • warning the player before ball arrives
Plans for further development include:
  • Player ranking.
  • New enemies and more time to get to the ball

Excellent game! People should really see this, and I suggest putting a screenshot here so that others can get a sense of the quality that's been put into it. Right now, there's only a "no screenshot available" thumbnail, which is too bad.

our projects welcomes all python game, art, music, sound, video and multimedia projects. If they use pygame or not.
