Commandor - 1.5

Alton Campbell (altondc)

Commandor is a 2d platformer fighting game with very simple AI. Similar to the original Mario Bros. and the matrix bullet time fighting flash game, it is a simple and fun game that will soon support a menu and two player battle mode. I apologize for the messy code.

same as last time. just improved keyboard. was using inappropriate elifs.

Oh one quick note. When you upload the game upload it as a regular zip file. That way people (mainly windows users) don't have to go look for and download a program that extracts gz files.

Yeah that would be incredible!!! If you need a camera class let me know. I've programmed one that works really well. By the way a lightsaber character would rock! ;-)

Thanks you guys. I was thinking to make it more of a side-scroller shooter like contra or like megaman.
possibly a lightsaber character in the next release? Definitely a menu.
Any other Ideas are welcome.

I like where this game is going... It seems like if you really clean it up it could be pretty entertaining, especially multiplayer. As it stands, the AI is nearly impossible to defeat... As soon as he sees you you're dead. You can pretty much only beat him from a distance.

Also, you should explain the controls somewhere. I couldn't figure out how to shoot, so I had to look at the source code to find out that it's Right Shift.

Haha funny game. I love the "Storm Trooper" :-D This game could be loads of fun with powerups, levels, and maybe mutliple enemies. Nice.

Thanks for providing the source, I'll have a look through that some time and see if I can learn anything :) It's a basic game - but if you added different levels, power ups etc, then it could turn out to be quite impressive.

I've noticed issues with the keyboard too.

nice..but, it have troubles with controls. some times the player going to left or right when keys is not pressed. jumping key work only when it is pressed in one time..
