Description

Awale or Oware (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oware) is a game of great antiquity, and has been played around the world in various forms for millenia. Currently it is the official board game of Africa. Member of the mancala (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mancala) family of board games. There are many variants to the rules of this game, which is for two players. This version is between a player and the computer.

Changes

This relase improves the user interface (use return key instead of a click on end panel to restart a new party and display count of seeds when more than 8) and add a script to replay a party from traces/logs.

Hello hello
Merci pour ce post soft qui me rappelle mon enfance au Cameroun. Y a-t il un moyen de franciser l'application ? juste pour le plaisir d'avoir le jeu dans ma langue native. Je ne suis pas informaticien

Very good game, and very nice implementation!

Sorry for the delay, to play the game follow instructions given into the ``doc/pyawale.html`` file included in the archive. To show/hide a short usage summary press the 'h' key during the game.

P.S. you can also use 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) under windows to manipulate this type of archive :)

Pretty cool but I don't know how to play :-( Nice gfx though.

I think what John means is it's in .tar.gz format. It's hard for us windows users to decompress those kind of files. If you're having trouble decompressing files like this download and install "WinImp". Just google it. By the way it's free.

Great Game! Works perfectly on OS X 10.4.10 (python 2.4, pygame 1.8.0pre)

What do you mean by "Linux format"? My pyAwale is written in pure Python and must work on any plateforms; effectively it has been developped under Debian, but it has also been tested under Ubuntu and Window$ XP (Workstation Intel HP and Laptop AMD64).

Under Window$, to run the game, simply double-click on the program ``src\pyawale.py`` (into the decompressed archive ;-)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this game was in the linux format...
