  • Added title screen
  • Character select screen (create up to 3 save files)
  • Name registration for created characters
  • Treasure chests (open with Left Shift)
  • Doors unlocked with keys
  • Items that only appear after all enemies defeated
  • Player no longer starts with all equipment (they are however all in easy to find locations so users can test everything)
  • Upon death user is given save/continue options.


I'm currently working on music but was not happy enough with anything to include it in this release.  Not much in game content added aside from a couple of new monsters.

Yeah. Portals haven't been reimplemented yet. The main things left to add to catch up to the original are portals, doors (key/trigger), and various individual enemy behavior. Thanks for checking it out.

Still a lot of fun. I wanted to go into the black spot, which seemed to be a cave in the mountain but it wouldn't let me. Similarly when I wanted to get past the chest because there was a black spot behind it. Guess it's just not done. Otherwise, it's very charming! I liked the little suprises, like the tornado which is actually a turtle, if you can hit it. Also, the code *does* seem very clean.

Neat! I like the animations! Will be interested to see how this evolves.

our projects welcomes all python game, art, music, sound, video and multimedia projects. If they use pygame or not.
