Good remake of C64 game.

Nice game, would be nice if there was more to do at first than just building up as much gold/rations and troops as possible though...

Fun! Still no saving/loading? Fights are a bit hard at the beginning of the game. I kept coming up against 30 trolls and then when I ran away I lost like 5 men. :-( (Yes, I was on level 1) But it's looking good! Just needs some difficulty tweaks.

ok, calling pygame.mixer.init(abc) after pygame.init() was the problem.
i use transform.scale2x now, so the fighting-sprites now look a lot better

the music sounds nice, but when i play a sound (pygame.mixer.Sound), it sounds like crap. Has anybody a solution?

Good game, but i found an bug when you get into an location and find an key you can revisit that location to get the other two keys...

since the biggest 'problem' is balancing, please let me know if you have some ideas about it. I don't know how fights/strenghts of opponents etc. were calculated in the original

you are right, I totally forgot that, luck that it is easy to implement ;)

btw, the biggest difference to the original is the game speed.
in the c64-version, every step took ~1.5 seconds, and you could only play with at least 2 players via hotseat, which was very annoying.

Oh wow. This is quite fun now :-D It could use a save feature though.

1) you can (let's say: soon you will be able to) hire a Miracle Healer, which can revive some of your warriors after a battle
2) yes, there are villages (to buy warriors and rations), nomad settlements (more expensive than villages, but here you can hire followers), castles & ruins (maybe you find some gold here), and a capital city (get warriors and gold for free when you don't have any). Press space to enter and leave a city
3) No, there aren't any items (maybe later, when the 'main-game' is completed*)
4) No, you don't have a party (*)
5) Right now, yes. But that has to be changed
6) No, you have to find all three cursed keys, but you can't find them right now

* at first, this is a remake, and as soon as it is finished, I will extend it for more depth of game.

1) How do I heal?
2) Can I enter a city?
3) Can I buy items?
4) Can I switch party members?
5) Can you always evade enemies without failing?
6) Can you win the game?

Game looks promising, but it needs a readme!
