elsim is an elevator simulator to be used in software development teaching scenarios.

Ulrich Norbisrath
I developed this for my Systems Modeling course in spring 2009 at the University of Tartu, Estonia. It shows a single elevator in a window, which can be controlled via a socket (mainly you can try out commands in telnet). You can control the up/down motor and the door motor separately. Buttons can be pressed by mouse and polled via socket commands. It supports different amounts of levels, buttons at the doors and in the elevator. Acceleration and breaking if you start the elevator motor and simulation of overheating of the elavator and door motor.
