Map Editor - 9.0.0
A user-friendly method of making 3D texture-mapped maps.
A user-friendly method of making 3D texture-mapped maps. This program requires you to have PyOpenGL and PyGame preinstalled.
I've updated the editor so you can see the texture you're modifying AS you modify it. That way, if you want to make mountains or something (see composite screenshots) you know where to bend the texture. I recently used this exact version to make the mountains seen (rendered in game) on the left. Again, you can use "Enter" to switch between fill, (shows entire texture), line, (shows portions of texture falling in a grid), and point (shows coordinates of vertices). I also updated the translate feature (CTRL + arrow keys) to be less clumsy. Please note that this program uses vertex arrays, which are not supported on all cards. You will need a compatible card (most new ones are), PyOpenGL, pygame, and NumPy.
