Description

Originally created as an entry to a Ludum Dare warm-up (LD8.5), buggyGame is an exciting side-scrolling game of exploration and survival, with an only slightly repetitive soundtrack! Features 3 riveting levels!

Storyline
You're an astronaut that is about to go the moon on a mission, but your moon buggy's navigational computer has bluescreened!
You must manually guide the buggy to the launchpad and touch the rocket to get to the moon, then explore the surface of the moon. Also keep in mind that your moon buggy is very fragile, so don't run into anything!

Requirements
If you're using the Win32 version, all you need is Windows! If you're not using the Win32 version, you will need to install these before running the game:
- Python 2.4+
- PyGame 1.7+

License
All game code is licensed under the GPL 2.0.
All game content, music and graphics are licensed under the Free Art License.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game.
Yes, I made all the art assets myself, including the music.

And yeah, the gravity is purposely low. Since there are no enemies in the game, the only challenge is to try to control the moon buggy across the terrain. If the controls for the buggy were nice and responsive, there wouldn't be much challenge or fun in it. :)

I've got 'Make more levels' on my TODO list, but you know how life is sometimes... ;)

Funny game! Good art..

And the music is superb. Did you make it yourself?

HAHA! That was great! I love how you've done the worlds in different art styles, the sketched pseudo-water-colored look, then the lunar texturing for the moon, and then the futuristic eggy-roundy third world...

AWESOME. That is what Pygaming is all about!

As for personal preference, I found the gravity just wasn't strong enough for my tastes... I would get going too fast and drift hopelessly, unable to stop or jump again before ramming into the next canyon wall, but hey, that just means I have to play better!
