The game is so smooth, how did you achieve that? I find that my simplest games aren't (they aren't laggy or jumpy either) and it's bothering me.

@pywiz32: I found that Left CTRL and Left ALT on my keyboard are buttons 1 & 2. The graphics and controls are very smooth. The music and graphical art are clear and thematically consistent; they remind me of later NES or early Epic MegaGames titles. I had difficulty finding a few of the levels' exits, which is exactly the type of challenge I enjoy. Avoiding enemies and bottomless pits was easy. Setup: SW - Windows XP Pro SP3, barbie.zip HW - 800 MHz Athlon CPU, 1.1 GB RAM, GeForce 2 Ultra GPU

Fun game, but I can't run it from source because I can't decompress .gz files. Could you have a .zip source download available as well?

I enjoyed the game, I just wish there was more to it. (I know it was a pyweek project. If we were judging on pyweek only, it would be 5/5)

Anonymous: The button 1 and 2 is reference to the first two buttons on the keyboard, which is z and x.

can't even play the game. if button1 and button2 are the mouse, they aren't working, and I have a working mouse. and if the arent the mouse buttons, WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY????????

First of all: great piece of work, very lovely game! I tested it on my Mac Notebook (latest OSX) and two things about it: 1. Any letter comes in not filled squares, beginning from start menu and also inside the game. Just imagine every lever/number is a not filled square (like a not defined charset) 2. I made it to the game and found out how I can control the seahorse. I love the bubble idea you can jump on catching a enemy. After a while I wanted to head out and pressed (as Im used in many games) the key "ESC". At that point the game seemed to crash. Nothing worked anymore, nor Apple/Tab (change to other app, numlock, etc. I pressed through all keys but nothing worked anymore. The only thing I could to was pressing Apple key + turn off. All over a very lovely game with nice gameplay. Next to the ol' Amiga/C64 jump and runs it remembers me of a mix of "Mario" and "Bubble Bobble", all fit very well together.
