Asteroids again - WIP, currently featuring vector drawn asteroids and player ship, stars with multiple layers which parallax and pooled lazers for optimization. it's not really in working condition yet other than movement and shooting but no collisions=no gameplay.. which is bad so I'm working on that. This is just up for anyones interest. Still to do: -Collision Detection & Response (SAT) -^implement lazer-asteroid collisions, asteroids will break into smaller pieces to a certain degree -^and earn the player points. -local highscore board(maybe online later) -Decently comment the code

Changes

Asteroids again - WIP, currently featuring vector drawn asteroids and player ship, stars with multiple layers which parallax and pooled lazers for optimization. I'm still studying into ways to handle collision detection as described below but any tips would be appreciated. I'm looking into SAT as I've used it before but I'm brushing back up on my programming skills since it's been a little while. But this is my first project using python3. Still to do: -Collision Detection & Response (convex and concave polygonal detection preferably.) -^implement lazer-asteroid collisions, asteroids will break into smaller pieces to a certain degree -^and earn the player points. -local highscore board(maybe online later) -Decently comment the code & split into separate files (as currently it's all in one .py file)
