Description

Trosnoth is a network team game that requires team strategy to win.
The Trosnoth idea was conceived by a bunch of ÜberTweak leaders who were looking for another network game to play on camp that:
  • was low-cost;
  • was team-based;
  • involved strategy;
  • was easy to teach.

Changes

This release is still compatible with other releases in the 1.5 series. Changes since 1.5.1:
  • Added another class of bot to the lobby.
  • Improved configuration options for Trosnoth authentication server.
  • Fixed a bug which resulted in a default vote being counted for each AI player during the votes for map size and game duration.
  • Fixed a bug which made the Technology Whiz achievement did not appear under player profiles on the server website.
  • Fixed a bug which resulted in dramatic lag on the authentication server under certain very specific conditions.

This game looks awesome from what I'm able to see without actually playing it.

If anyone wants to play me, my msn is: "theprototypeus@hotmail.com". One of us can host a server.

Trosnoth, Trosnoth, Trosnoth WOW! This game is excellent!

Why? If you love working together as a team to DESTROY YOUR OPPOSITION then this is for you! Even though the objective of the game is about taking over the map rather than the most kills, it's still fun to annihilate people in any game.

You can see the trosnoth website above, definitely check it out to see how to play.

I would say that this game is best played in a LAN setting so everyone can enjoy the fast paced environment of the game. Because only one shot will kill you, this means everyone is going to be doing lots and lots of dying unless you've perfected how to DODGE BULLETS and become extremely difficult to kill.

I really like this game because it's simple and fun while maintain the focus of teamwork, because when you and a bunch of your mates DESTROY some other people through your combined hard work, it feels great.

Just download it and try it out, it's probably best played with at least 4v4 or higher, just to maintain that teamwork element of the game, otherwise it just becomes a cat and mouse game of chasing zones when there aren't enough people in it. Best of all, the game is free, so LAN party it up.
