Description

I made this in a few hours as one of the first steps toward an edutainment game I have in mind. Still, it's pretty fun by itself when you're bored, so I'm putting it up here. (If the guy moves way too fast, that means you have a super de duper computer and I am jealous!) More info in the readme.

Very nice :D I love the map generator - a lot simpler than ones I have tried :) Beat my first try though :D

Dylan: Look at the code. =P The readme's explanation isn't entirely correct though (that was an older and slightly different algorithm that didn't work out right.) You'll want to look at maze.py. To sum it up though, it takes current cell, finds neighbors, goes to a neighbor that hasn't been visited, knocks down the wall between them, and repeats with the neighbor as the new current cell.

Francesco: Thanks! And about the frame rate control, I know, but putting any cap on it makes it run too slow here. (200fps is what I get uncapped, and about the speed I want it, but with a 200fps cap I only get about 50.) But when I get around to the 1.2 release the speed will be equal for everyone and stuff will be optimized to run better.

Just add clock.tick(60.0) to the last line, to make the game equally fast on any platform!

Dylan: Yes, it randomly generates a new maze each time you run it using a recursive algorithm I might eventually make iterative.
