WOULD Love to play this Game, BUT gave UP half Way through renaming ALL your IMAGE files as you HAVE failed too be consistent IN your code with file Naming, I'm guessing this is because your a windows user and MSDOS has no care for case, but for the love of god >_<
will possibly think about writing a small script to grep & replace but have a feeling its more likely to brake it than be of any benifit..

That's weird. I don't know what's going on there with the levels...The next release is being made very carefully and I'm paying special attention to the filenames. It's being rewritten from scratch so I really don't need improvements on this release. Sorry I'm not familiar with Mercurial. And no I don't have the legal rights but I don't take credit for it. If you look in the readme it says "Copyright (C) Nintendo 1985" or something.

Second issue: I now get through the menu to the level, but for some unknown reason, teh ground is hanging at the top of the window and I fall straight down into oblivion...

The game looks quite nice, though.

Do you have the legal rigths to reproduce it (sorry, I just have to ask...)?

Would you care to upload it into a Mercurial directory somewhere, so we can easily send you fixes and improvements?

I have to fix the filenames anyway, so I'd like to just send you the fix...

That was very good, there were only a few bugs (mainly physics-related as others have mentioned). Good idea loading the levels from text files :D

Really good !

My wife wants it for her macintosh so I created a setup script, create an __init__ file in lib directory and add some stuffes in the main script.

Pretty good. Really slick work with the graphics!
One big problem for us UNIX people -- our file names are case-sensitive, so it took quite a deal of source fiddling to get this running. Something to think about when you rewrite?

Thanks. I'm playing on completely rewriting the script and using my pygu library to make it. (I'll keep the levels since they took a couple hours to do each) I should be able to make a perfect remake with it. It has everything you need to make a pretty advanced 2D platformer game.

Pretty good, the acceleration feels way off and there were some collision bugs. Also, I want to see the flag go down!

Not a bad remake though.

It's a good implementation as far as I can tell, having never really played the original. There are a lot of filenames which need fixing, though.
