Description

This game is a new way of minesweeping where you need to control a desperated guy - Barney - through an underground minefield. Similar to a normal minesweeper Barney gets some hints on the fields next to him, and he have some tools to make his life easier: flags, dropweights, digbots.

Very nicely made. I suggest placing a call to pygame.quit() in the exit function, so that the window closes when the game quits. You might also want to make the mouse usable too. Other than that, very nicely done.

Hi kalriz, Mine Escape is released under GPL. you can read the code and/or edit, even use it in your project in according to GPL rules. Just place a comment in your code about it.

about the highscore crash: File "D:\tmp\Mine_Escape\game.py", line 563, in insertscore self.highscores[item]=[name,score] IndexError: list assignment index out of range is a logic fault; lose a game before reaching the 10-th score and you will see. unrelated, just to be safe, either don't include in the package highscores.bin or open and close that file in binary mode 'wb', 'rb' (else in windows characters '\r' will be eaten, corrupting the pickle stream)

Cannot reproduce it. It works fine here (kubuntu 9.10). Could you give me the error message and details of your system?

kudos, it is a polished game. small glitch: crash when trying to write highscores, easy so repair.
