Description

*Flash Tactics* is an arcady 2D real-time tactics game. It's meant to be very simple while allowing the player to use common-sense tactics. Command 3 UN tanks in a 15 minute coffee break battle against the Russians!

In-game confusion? Please read the README.exe! With the exploration into a new genre comes a learning curve!

Changes

Arcady 2d tactics action that you can now actually play! The game actually runs now. Check out the awesome explodey action for yourself today!

Actually I think I'll just release the full version once it's done. I'm working on it, hard.

Hey thanks. I could really use some external motivation at this point. Actually development has been continuing for quite some time. I'll do you the favor of uploading the new incomplete version... soon.

My Ultimatum:
I need an opinion (or two) on whether this game is any good or not!
If so, I'll finish it.
If not, I'll move on.
Until I know, the project is on hold.

No big deal, I just need to set my priorities!
Please comment. Be honest.

Thanks,
Nathan

Thanks. I fixed that and put up the new code. The level has a new look, and I am working my way through creating other levels. It's nice to know the game works on someone else's machine!

It runs fast on my machine though.

According to the GNOME image viewer, "Logo.bmp" has an invalid header size, whatever that means. I replace "Logo.bmp" with some other image, and the game loaded fine. While playing:

If it runs too slow, say so and I'll see what can be done. If you have suggestions to make the game more fun or run faster, I'm eager for feedback!
