Birdie Words - 0.4

Description

An addictive word game based on a combination of the game Boggle and golf. You play a series of holes and try to combine words with enough letters to make it to the hole. Each hole has a par so try to use as few words as possible. On the harder levels, stay away from bunkers and water traps to avoid penalty strokes.

Changes

New in 0.4

  • Ported to Flash
  • Play online or standalone Air version
  • Notification of shot penalties
  • Level transition effects
  • Mute button
  • Dropped different game modes (for now)

Justin - thanks for the comment. I improved the mouse handling code in 0.3.2. Hopefully this improves the responsiveness in terms of button clicks always being registered.

Hi Justin. Usually this will be because the frame rate is low. When you quit the game the last log to the console reports the actual rate. Could you let me know what that is please? Also if you could let me know the platform I can take a look at it.

Thanks, Paul

The buttons felt unresponsive, I would press letters and the reaction time from the game would be longer than I expect.
