Description

A sidescroller game written in python involving a crashed pilot, scattered Bibles and a deadline. This is a community project of ChristianCoders.com -- a site that connects people interested in Christian video games.

Changes

Bible Dave v0.7.1 has been released with a UI facelift and faster tile blitting code. It is more unstable than our older releases, so if you find any bugs please report them. You can download binaries for Debian/Ubuntu (Missing dependencies) and other .deb based Linux distributions, Fedora Core and other RPM (missing dependencies) based distros, and Windows 2000/XP (Windows 9x may work but is not supported). The source for Windows, Mac (not yet tested but it should work... theoretically), and Linux.

Awesome game. I love how it (for the most part) follows the laws of gravity and momentum... It's also a great learning experience for me when looking at the code.

Wow! Just had look at it on a Mac and it works very well! Its really one of the most impressive games written with Pygame. Maybe its not included yet or just not working on Macs: Clicking on some options inside the "Options" wont work (just nothing happens) like Gamma Correction or Sound. Didnt even know Pygame supports Gamma Correction (whats that function called?). Also Credits and Help are not working. Just realize now that I didnt hear any SFXs (if there are any), only the main sound. I only missed the ultimative jungle weapon but that proably doesnt fit to the bibles. ;) Very nice piece of work!

Definitely one of the more impressive games created with pygame. Well done.

Pretty cool, although it gets a bit repetitive later on and the levels feel quite empty. Especially the mines, which are mostly a big maze with nothing else going on.
